Ready to help make our apps on Apple devices even better?
Our apps are constantly evolving. But they can't do it without you.
Have you ever used an app and said to yourself, "Why doesn't it do this...?"
This is your chance to make a difference in the Google apps you use every day on your iOS device. Beta testing is surprisingly easy - and it's fun!
Beta testing with Google, as easy as 1-2-3.
It's easy to download test versions of the apps. Just follow the instructions in the emails that you'll get from Google and TestFlight.
Use the app, and share what you like and don't like about new features-all within the app itself.
Which apps are currently available for you to test? Take a look.
Does your feedback make a difference?
You bet it does. After you send us feedback, we review it, and use it to make our products better. For example, here are a couple of launched features that our beta testers have suggested for Google Maps.
You can now use Google Maps to save the place where you parked your vehicle. That way you can easily find your way back to it after.
You can now use Google Maps to create a list of your favorite places or locations you want to check out. You can even share that list with your friends.
Still not sure how this works?
Don't worry, we've got you covered.
Anyone that owns an Apple device and has a Google account. If you don’t have a Google account, you can create one here. Note, you will need to download and install Apple’s TestFlight app to be able to test our apps on your device.
Please refer to the "Apps" section of this site to see the list of products that you can test.
A beta product is a version of an app that hasn't launched yet. For some products, you can have both the beta version and the public version of the app installed at the same time. For others, you will be able to have one version of the app installed at a time.
After signing up to test an app, there are two ways to stop participating. First, click on the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email you will receive from TestFlight inviting you to test an app. Second, if you would like to stop testing a beta app you have already installed, open the TestFlight app > select the app > tap "Stop Testing".
While you should feel free to send us feedback about anything you do or do not like about the product, you might also receive emails with information on what to specifically test.
You can submit feedback from the app itself. Tap the Menu, and choose the option to send feedback. It will either be called "Send feedback" or "Help & Feedback."
Be as specific as possible. If you're not sure what something is called, you can describe it instead. Tell us what you were doing, what happened, and what you expected.
We ask that you don't publicize or share the features you're testing until they're publicly launched.
